Subscription Agreement
Last updated: June 13, 2026
This agreement covers your use of Broch — the software and the subscription. It is between you (and the organization you represent) and Broch, LLC. By starting a trial, subscribing, or running the software, you accept these terms. The plain-English summary up top is the agreement; there is no second set of terms in fine print.
An admin in your deployment also accepts this agreement in-app when starting a trial or subscribing — that in-app acceptance binds the organization through an authorized signer. Jump to: The License — Subscription & Billing — Trials.
The License
Broch is software you deploy on your own infrastructure. While your subscription is active, Broch, LLC grants your organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run the Broch server and CLI for your internal business use, for the number of developer seats your subscription covers.
A seat is a developer who creates tunnels (broch share). Admins who only operate the deployment do not consume a seat. Your server reports an aggregate seat count to the licensing service; it does not report identities. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what the licensing exchange sends.
You may not resell, sublicense, or offer Broch as a hosted service to third parties, remove or circumvent license validation, or reverse-engineer the software except where that restriction is prohibited by law. You keep ownership of everything you run through Broch; we claim no rights to your traffic, your tunnels, or your data.
Subscription & Billing
Self-hosted Broch is licensed per developer seat, at $10 per seat per month — flat. No tiers, no per-feature upsells, no per-tunnel metering, no overage charges. The price you see here is the price Stripe charges.
- Billing: Monthly, in advance, through Stripe (at
payment.broch.io). Broch, LLC never stores your card number — Stripe handles it. - Adjusting seats: Add or remove seats anytime from the admin UI inside your own deployment — no support ticket. Adding seats prorates against the current billing period and takes effect immediately; removing seats reprices at the next billing cycle. Your license is reissued automatically.
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime from the same admin UI. Your subscription runs to the end of the current paid period; it does not renew after that. Monthly charges already incurred are not refunded except where required by law.
- Taxes: Prices exclude any taxes; you are responsible for taxes that apply to your purchase.
- Price changes: If the published price changes, the new rate applies to your subscription only from the next billing period, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
If a payment fails or your subscription lapses, your license enters a grace period before it stops validating. Your data and deployment stay on your infrastructure throughout — a lapsed license affects the right to run the software, not your access to your own systems.
Trials
There are two trials, and they are different things:
- Self-hosted trial — 15 days. The real product, on your own infrastructure. Start it from inside your running deployment. A card is required upfront but is not charged during the trial; it becomes $10 per seat, billed monthly through Stripe, on day 16 unless you cancel first.
- Broch-hosted trial — 60 days, no card. A shared Broch server we operate at
trial.broch.io, for evaluating tunneling before you stand up your own deployment. It is intentionally limited and is not a production offering. Because we run that infrastructure, we process operational data from your trial usage — see the Privacy Policy. Trial data is deleted within 30 days of the trial ending unless you convert to a self-hosted license.
Acceptable Use
You are responsible for what you and your users do with Broch. Don't use it to break the law, to route traffic you have no right to route, or to attack or interfere with others' systems. For self-hosted deployments, you are responsible for the security, compliance, and privacy practices of your own deployment and the traffic flowing through it.
Service & Availability
The licensing service and trial.broch.io are operated by Broch, LLC. We aim to keep them available but do not commit to a specific uptime here; if your server cannot reach the licensing service, it continues operating on its cached license token until that token expires. The self-hosted server runs on your infrastructure — its availability is yours to manage.
Warranty & Liability
Broch is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Broch, LLC's total liability arising from this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Term & Changes
This agreement applies for as long as you use Broch or hold a subscription. We may update these terms; material changes are posted on this page with an updated date, and where a change affects an active subscription it applies from your next billing period. Continuing to use Broch after a change means you accept the updated terms.
